Wondering why you didn't have a lot of choices in your courses for next year?
Here's why...... ECE tries to get most of your HS requirements done by the end of your junior year. You should have completed English 1, Earth Sci, World History, a math, Engineering, and some electives (college classes, NCVPS, and/or CTE). For the 10th grade year, you are more than likely taking- Honors English 2 Honors Bio Honors American History 1 and 2 Honors Math (2 or 3) that's FOUR CORE CLASSES all year! Plus, you will be writing your graduation project papers this year. INTENSE! So, more than likely, you have a seminar or just one elective (like what you didn't complete in 9th grade) Greetings!
I have met with a lot of you this summer. Hopefully, you and your parents got lots of good info during the meetings with Mr. Quinn and myself. If you missed this very important meeting, please email me to see if there are any more appointments available this summer. This summer you should be doing SOMETHING extracurricular in nature to add to your HS portfolio in CFNC.org. Yes, LOG INTO YOUR CFNC! You all have accounts. If you cant remember how to log-in, create a new account. If you know your username but not your password, email me and I can reset it for you. Again, I apologize that CCC registration did not go as smoothly as planned. All rising seniors should have made an appointment to meet with me sometime this month, specifically this last week in June. If you have not signed up, do so ASAP. There are not many spots left and the summer is going by very quickly. The meetings are all about you and your future!
A little bit more information.......
Students may choose to forgo their 5th year at ECE and graduate early if they have met all the required HS graduation requirements and can transfer their college credits to a 4 year university. |
